If you backpack, camp, or even just road trip with your dog, you may have found yourself searching for a good sleeping solution for your dog. If you are staying near your car, you can haul a regular dog bed along with you. But if you want something to bring with you on day hikes or overnight trips, finding a good sleeping mat can be more challenging. I have looked at several options for sleep solutions for my dog, Glia, for our backpacking adventures. There are several companies that market sleeping bags and pads for backpacking and adventuring with dogs. Some are designed to be complete sleep systems, some are just top layers, and some are pads and beds meant for your dog to sleep on. When we enter our backpacking tent at night, Glia tends to head straight for my sleeping pad and my cozy Nemo sleeping bag. She likes to move the sleeping bag around until she has a cozy nest. Then she plops down right in the center of all of my own bedding. The problem is that she doesn't really fit on my pad with me and definitely can't fit inside my sleeping bag with me. As a result, it has been a goal of mine to recreate this soft and cozy sleeping setup with smaller gear designed just for Glia. My first purchase was a sleeping mat. Since I like my Thermarest so much and Glia goes to that rather than a cell foam sleeping mat, I figured I would give an inflatable dog bed a try. I purchased a Klymit Moon Dog bed. But mostly I ended up using it to support the area of my body pushed off of my sleeping pad when Glia inevitably ended up using my pad instead. Then OneTigris reached out to me to review their Achilles Bomber Style K9 Jacket. They sent me the jacket and also included a Dog Sleeping Mat. And I found myself reaching for this mat on all of my outdoor adventures this summer. So it is time to give this mat a full review. OneTigris Dog Sleeping Mat The OneTigris Dog Sleeping Mat is a one-size-fits-all, highly compressible, water-resistant mat made from Oxford Fabric and Polyester. It weighs a little over a pound when it is in its stuff sack. The website officially lists its weight as 17.9 oz and my scale confirmed a weight of 17.8oz. How to buy Modafinil online https://dodgecityksdental.com/patient-resources/modafinil/ Although the stuff sack is about twice the size of the one that comes with the Klymit Moon Dog Bed, it is very compressible and I can typically squish it in between the bulkier items in my own pack. Both the Klymit bed and the OneTigris Mat are too bulky to fit in Glia's Groundbird Gear pack, but the Klymit bed can fit in her size small Ruffwear Front Range Pack. The OneTigris Mat almost fits and would probably fit in a size medium Front Range Pack. Despite the slightly bigger size, the OneTigris mat only weighs 1 ounce more than the Klymit dog bed. And even more importantly, Glia will choose to lie on the OneTigris sleeping mat. Just take a look at the photo evidence! Another fantastic aspect of this sleeping mat is that dirt and debris brush right off of it, so it is easy to move the mat from outside to inside the tent and then outside again before it ends up back inside my pack.
